I’m Daphney Valsaint, or DaffValsaint online. The blog’s name says a lot, but I’ll sprinkle in some extra coolness anyway.
I’m a single woman in my thirties, riding the waves in the challenging paradise of Haiti with the support of incredible friends and my typical Haitian mom. Legal dramas, thrilling reads, inspiring memoirs, and romance novels light up my heart. And yes, I’ve got a soft spot for good food too (just keep that from my trainer and nutritionist, won’t you?). Oh, and did I mention I’m a proud cat auntie?
I studied International Relations and went to law school, yet my journey took me on a 13-year journalism adventure. Lucky me, I now blend a bit of all those worlds in my current gig.
When it comes to blogging, I took my first steps into the blogosphere on Tumblr around a decade ago, sharing glimpses of my world ever since. In November 2017, I launched “Daffreads” – a cozy corner where my love for reading runs wild. And trust me, the love affair is still going strong.
